Out of sight for so long now

Yet, never out of mind

I remember you ma

Every day, every hour

What Mother’s day brings

Are the memories of you

Bright and blossoming,

Like a Sweet Pea Flower!

Your home cooked meals

MMM… the delicious doughnuts

The tasty olives and warm bread

Lovingly made with your patient hands.

The warming wood fire

Roasting capsicums and corn

The smell of percolated coffee beans

In the early morn

A rooster crows for the new sunrise

Ma, I miss you

I light this candle on this Special Day
